A baby carrier is a supporting device worn by an adult for holding a baby close to the chest. Various materials (such as soft cloth, gauze, canvas, etc.) are used to make baby carriers. There are different types of baby carriers, based on their carrying position, structure, or the type of fabric they are made from. Baby slings, backpacks, front carriers and hip carriers are some of the widely used baby carriers. While baby carriers are generally used for newborns and infants, some types can also be used for children well into their toddler years.
